Eating Clean For The Whole Family- Healthy Kettle Corn

kettle corn

My family loves kettle corn. As a matter of fact, we can’t go to our town’s arts festival each spring without getting a giant bag.  Of course it is a delicious treat, but full of calories, fat and sugar.  So this is our family’s answer to our kettle corn obsession.

Healthy Kettle Corn

Coconut oil (unflavored, cold pressed, organic)

popcorn

salt

stevia

In a large sauce pan melt enough coconut oil to cover the bottom of the pan on low heat.   When oil is melted, pour enough popcorn to cover the bottom of the pan, turn heat up to medium, cover pan.  Shake pan every so often to prevent burning.  Pop the corn until the lid is lifitng slightly off the pot or the popping sound has stopped. Pour popcorn in large bowl, sprinkle with salt and stevia. A salty, sweet treat without the guilt! Enjoy!

  1. Sounds good!, Have you ever tried it with olive oil?? I’ve never had or used coconut oil, the saturated fat content scares me
