About

blogphotoI am just a mom, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a teacher, and a student of life. I do the best I can each day and the journey is an amazing one. This is a place to share what I have learned or to just provide a good laugh about the adventure. I am certainly no expert in the field of health and wellness, however it is my passion. I have spend a great deal of my life researching and learning how to create the most health friendly life in the areas of body, mind and soul. I was fortunate enough to have someone show me the ropes so now I would like to pass it on to others.

Susanne grew up in northeastern Ohio. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University where she received a Bachelor of Music in 1990. After graduating she taught instrumental music in Marion, OH and Delaware OH for 10 years, before becoming a stay at home mom. For the past 13 years, she has raised two daughters, earned a Masters of Education from Ashland University, lead an arts initiative at her daughters’ elementary school, completed 5 half marathons and has a great interest in health and wellness. She currently resides in Delaware, OH with her two daughters and husband of 20 years.

Peace, Wellness & Joy,

    • Hi Amanda,
I loved your blog entries. You provided great information. I look forward to to getting to know you as well. I am a fitness nut. It is my therapy and it keeps me grounded in my crazy life. šŸ™‚ I am especially interested in fitness for over 40 women. Keep in touch.

      • Will do. I worked in the fitness industry for 15 years and just recently “retired” from it. I wanted to spend more time on my writing. I blog about it a little, but I talk about everything in my life – fitness is just a part. And yeah, I’m 44 and since I hit 40, I can certainly feel the difference. I can’t do nearly as much as I could even 10 years ago. I think I’m stronger now, but I just can’t do the hours. Just trying to keep up LOL!

  1. I can’t find a lot of information about our age group. We are the same age. My trainer is very knowlegable, but she is in her 20’s. I know my body is different now and going through a lot of changes. I need support from people that understand and know what to expect. Heck, I would take just a support group of women our age exchanging ideas of what is going on! lol Not a lot of women our age are lifting or competing, at least not around me. I plan on keeping fitness in my life.
